Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Season 2 Impressions

This past October, I had the opportunity to attend the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles panel at New York Comic Con for the second year in a row. The panel actually took place the night before the season two premiere so I was expecting the panel to be a big preview of things to come with some insight from the cast and crew thrown in. I also joked with some people around me how everyone with a three day pass wouldn’t be able to watch the new episode the next day.

That’s when they announced that everyone at the panel would be watching the first episode of the new season right then and there with the cast and crew.

Let me tell you something; watching a new episode of a show you like with and auditorium full of fellow fans is an absolutely amazing experienced. Not to mention, the showing was highlighted with Greg Cipes (voice of Michelangelo) dancing on the panel table during the TMNT theme song. The next night, I had the opportunity to talk to Rob Paulsen (voice of Donatello) on the show floor and we discussed the season two premiere of TMNT. I straight up told him “That’s how you do a season two premiere.”

Mind Wanderer: Sonic The Hedgehog (SatAM) Review

Welcome to the premiere edition of Mind Wanderer, a cartoon video review web show. Today, we will be looking at Sonic the Hedgehog (also know as Sonic SatAM). Personally, when I think of early 90s shows from my childhood, this is one of the shows I think of. I wanted to see if the show held up. By the end of 2014, there will be five animated TV series based on Sega's Genesis hero. Surely, at least one of them is good. Right?

Trailer: Mind Wanderer

This is the debut trailer for the new cartoon review web series, Mind Wanderer. Here you'll find videos spotlighting various animated shows and movies from my collection along with discussion of my thoughts and who I think would enjoy watching the show or movie. While I do like to have fun on the show, don't expect a large portion dedicated to sketches that have little to do with the subject at hand. After all, it's about the animation, right?

NYCC 2013: Sonic Lost World Impressions

This past weekend at New York Comic Con, Nintendo made their presence known with panels, gaming tournaments, and many playable games for the Wii U and 3DS. One such game is Sonic Lost World for the Wii U. I’ve been a Sonic fan for a long time, but as many others have said, Sonic hasn’t always had the best track record. This is especially true when it comes to games that take place in a 3D plane. Of the 3D Sonic games I’ve played, I always felt like the games have a strong start, but as you get further into the game, the cracks start to show more and more. The question then becomes whether or not the game ends before it falls apart. Even Sonic Generations, a game I really enjoyed, had some problems toward the end of the game. My hope is that one day I get to play a flawless 3D Sonic The Hedgehog game.

Sonic Lost World may be that game.

Otakon 20: A First Timer's Perspective (Part 2)

Previously, I talked about some of my experiences at Otakon 20, mainly about the time I spent at the concerts. Of course, there was plenty of other things I did besides standing in line and listening to live music. I also went to panels and bought a bunch of stuff. Also, I stood on more lines. I never was a fan of lines.

While I was at Otakon, I did manage to go to a few panels. Unfortunately I missed a handful of panels I wanted to go to due to either the concerts or me not managing my time correctly. I especially wanted to go to more industry panels than the one Funimation panel I went to, but that’s life. It’s no big deal.
